Will I lose my SEO ranking after migrating to WordPress?
No. We set up automatic 301 redirects from every old CMS URL to its new WordPress counterpart. Meta titles, descriptions, canonical tags, Open Graph data, and schema markup are all preserved. Google holds your rankings and existing inbound links continue to work. We’ve migrated sites with hundreds of thousands of indexed pages without ranking loss — in many cases SEO actually improves because Yoast or Rank Math on WordPress gives you tools your old CMS didn’t have.
What about my custom post types, fields, and content structures?
Structured content stays structured. If your source CMS uses Joomla K2 items, Drupal nodes with custom fields, ExpressionEngine channels, or TYPO3 custom content elements, we create matching Custom Post Types (CPTs) in WordPress with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) so every field, taxonomy, and relationship is preserved exactly. Categories, tags, and custom taxonomies map cleanly. Your editorial workflow stays familiar.
What happens to my online store / e-commerce data?
For Shopify, Magento, PrestaShop, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and similar e-commerce migrations to WordPress, we move everything: products with variants and attributes, categories, brands, customers, full order history, reviews, coupons, gift cards, and 301 redirects. We install and configure WooCommerce on the WordPress side, set up payment gateways, shipping zones, taxes, and the relevant integrations (Stripe, PayPal, ShipStation, etc.). Stock levels and customer purchase history are preserved.
Will my users keep their accounts and passwords?
Usernames, emails, profile data, roles, and member metadata all move 1:1. Passwords often can’t be transferred because source and target use different hashing algorithms — this is a cryptographic limit, no service can break it. We solve it with a one-click “send new passwords” tool that emails every user a fresh password (or magic-link reset) on launch day. Where the algorithms match, passwords transfer cleanly.
How long does the migration take?
It depends on the scope. A content-only migration (pages, posts, media, users, SEO) typically takes 3–7 business days. A full migration that includes a custom WordPress theme replicating your current design pixel-for-pixel, plugin configuration, custom post types, and e-commerce setup can take 2–4 weeks. Very large or complex sites (enterprise CMS, multilingual, thousands of products) may need up to a month. Your live site stays online the entire time — we build everything on a staging server, you inspect and approve, then we run a final content sync and switch DNS with zero downtime.
What about my current design? Will my site look the same?
You choose. We can build a pixel-perfect custom WordPress theme that replicates your current design exactly — same layout, fonts, colors, navigation, components. Your visitors and members won’t notice anything changed except that pages load faster. Alternatively we can install a premium WordPress theme (Divi, Elementor, Astra, GeneratePress, Kadence) and configure it to match your current look, which is faster and cheaper. Why not just use a free import plugin?
Free import plugins are fine for tiny sites. They handle pages, posts, and basic images. They do not handle: custom post types, ACF fields, complex taxonomy structures, e-commerce data, member accounts, 301 redirects, SEO metadata, multilingual content, custom URL structures, or theme replication. Most real-world business sites need all of these. That’s where we come in.
What does “pay after success” actually mean?
You pay zero up front. We complete the migration, hand you access to the new WordPress site on our staging, and you inspect everything. If you’re satisfied, you pay the quoted price and we launch.
